Digital Leadership: Book Share

Digital Leadership: Changing Paradigms for Changing Times by Eric Sheninger is a “can’t miss” book for education administrators.

This book is awesome for administrators who are firmly entrenched in technology and social media as well as those who are just beginning in their journey. There have been so many amazing book reviews highlighting awesome points of this book…I wanted to come up with something “Different” I could do to share this book with other administrators, particularly in my home state of Arkansas. After much thinking, this is what I did:

Erics Book Share

I purchased 10 copies of Digital Leadership: Changing Paradigms for Changing Times by Eric Sheninger from Amazon several weeks ago. Using the Arkansas Administrators’ Directory and cross-referencing to make sure I didn’t get any administrators who attended the TICAL conference where Eric was the Keynote speaker in February 2014, as well as pulling out administrators already connected with him through Twitter or those I already know and can share with personally. I then put those “unconnected” names into my son’s T-Ball hat and drew ten names. I checked that I had the correct address for those administrators and enclosed a personal note with each book before I placed them in the mail. This note told each administrator how impactful this book was to me personally and that I wanted to “share” it with other administrators in Arkansas! (Shared my contact information of course!)

Like Eric says in the book…

“Connectedness Matters.”

  1. Wow, that is inspiring! It also shows action along with leadership. You didn’t just say that you enjoyed the book, you shared it. 🙂
